Liz Riley

Liz Riley, BA (Ceramics), University of the West of England, has been producing pots in Bristol ever since obtaining her degree in 1988.

Her pots are individually wheel-thrown using white earthenware clay, than lavishly decorated with hand painting and sgraffito work and finished with her trademark candy striped handles. After being high bisque fired, the pots are glazed in a glossy transparent glaze, before being fired once more.

Liz uses a variety of themes for her decorations. The wit and vivacity of her style combine to make her pots ambassadors of cheer and good wishes. She also accepts commissions to make commemorative ware.
